Brinke was born in San Diego,  California on September 20, 1954, under the name Charlene Elizabeth Brinkman. She has been interested and involved in, in one form or another, the entertainment world all

University,' Brinke went on to earn a 'Masters Degree' in marine biology from the 'Scripps Institute of Oceanography' in La Jolla, CA. For a time, she worked as a scientist for the San Onofre Nuclear Power Station and, also, the National Marine Fisheries. Brinke has knowledge of seven different languages. She was briefly married to artist Dave Stevens, known for his creation The Rocketeer, which was adapted for the screen, by Disney, in 1991. Of course, Brinke posed for him many times. For a number of years, Brinke had a successful career as a model. Her print and commercial work soon led to becoming a leading actress in over 100 films, among them: 'Grandma's House', 'Haunting Fear', 'Mob Boss', 'Spirits', 'Delta Delta Die!' and 'Mommy 1 & 2.' She is also an accomplished dancer, has appeared in many music videos  and she used to be in an all-female rock band, The Skirts. With an exceptional screen presence, Brinke projects an aura and class that is reminiscent of the stars of the 1930's and '40's. Yet she also has the range, depth and versatility to play very diverse roles.

Brinke has written several screenplays, like Teenage Exorcist (1991), as well as fiction and non-fiction articles for such genre publications as 'Weird Tales', 'Monsterland' and 'Femme Fatales.'  Brinke had the honor of gracing 'Femme Fatales' magazines  first ever cover. She's the inspiration, writer and publisher of a popular comic book series, "Brinke of Destruction." As a producer, Brinke has helmed and hosted 'Shock Cinema' and 'Something to Scream About', both documentaries about the horror film industry. Brinke is also the Co-Producer on a feature film called 'Dead Things'.

Brinke remains an artist close to her fans. She has her own website, where she can inform her fans of her up projects and whereabouts.

Mickey co-wrote the screenplay for 'The Coffin', and will be co-executive producing & co-directing with Daniel Ingraham. Daniel chose to cast Mickey as 'Jen' based on an earlier audition she had done for a movie he was a producer on called 'Night' and since he had based the character on her when he re-wrote that segment in late 1999, it seemed appropriate.
